• Can I transfer my Fitbod account from iOS to Android?

Have you made or would like to make the switch from iOS to Android? In this article, you will find information that will help you make the switch easy.

At this time, the Android and iOS versions of Fitbod are separate platforms and we do not support back and forth compatibility. What this means is they will not sync subscriptions or workout data automatically. Please view the options below to assist you with getting set up on Android.

How to sync your workout data

Your iOS account is associated with email/password

If you originally signed up on iOS using your email/password, all you need to do is simply sign in with the same login credentials on your Android device.

Your iOS account is associated with Apple ID or Facebook

If you originally signed up using Apple ID or Facebook, then you will need to unlink the account from your Fitbod account. In order to unlink your Apple ID or Facebook account, you must be logged in to Fitbod through that account on your iOS device, then follow the below steps:

    1. Open the Fitbod settings menu
    2. Tap on your email address (under Account)
    3. Select the button that says "Unlink"

You will then be prompted to update your account with an email and password. Once this is done you can now sign into the Android version of the app using the new email and password you just created. When you sign into Android you will be prompted to migrate your workout data across simply select this option and the app will do the rest.

Logging into your account on Android

When you first log into Android from an account created on iOS you will be prompted to transfer your workout data across. After this initial transfer, your workouts will not sync between the platforms again. For example, completing a workout on iOS will not sync the workout to Android, and completing a workout on Android will not sync the workout to iOS.

If you have multiple Your Gym profiles these will also not sync from iOS to Android as Android does not currently support this feature as of right now. To see what we are planning for our Android app and get more information about what features are coming, please visit our Plans for Android page.

How to transfer your active subscription

Currently, subscriptions you have signed up for through the App Store on iOS and those purchased through our website, including gift subscriptions purchased prior to creating your Android account will not transfer to Android automatically. If this is the case for you, please email us at support@fitbod.me

The good news is we are working to change this so, in the future, no matter what device you use or platform you switch between you will have one account that syncs your workout and subscription across all platforms.

  • I subscribed but the app is still locked in trial mode. What do I do now?

Don't worry! You can find troubleshooting steps in this article.

    iOS Subscriptions

    Purchased through Apple's App Store

    1. Restore your subscription by performing the following steps:

      1. Open the Fitbod app
      2. Select Log (bottom right)
      3. Select Settings (top right)
      4. Select Restore Subscription

***Important Note: If an error message occurs saying No Subscription Found (and you indeed have purchased a subscription), this means your subscription was not purchased through Apple's App Store and mostly through our website. Please refer to the Purchased through the Fitbod website section below.

    2. Log out (if possible), delete, and reinstall the app and log back into your account to refresh it.

    3. Check for other accounts you may have created with us.

If the account you logged into doesn't have any of your workout data within the Log tab, this could mean you are not logged into the correct account. Please note that we offer different methods of creating your Fitbod account (i.e. Email/Password, Sign-in with Apple ID, Sign-in with Facebook, Sign-in with Google). If your associated social accounts do not share the same email address, this will result in different created accounts for Fitbod.

***Important Note: Sign-in with Apple ID has a Hide my Email feature which will populate a generated email (by Apple) that will look something like [**********@privaterelay.appleid.com]. To check if you used this option to create your Fitbod account, please perform the following steps on your iOS device:

      1. Go to the Settings app
      2. Select Apple ID
      3. Select Password & Security
      4. Select Apps Using Your Apple ID
      5. Select Fitbod then This App Received

If a private relay email is displayed, this means you have created your Fitbod account using the Sign-in with Apple ID + Hide my Email. Please attempt to log into the Fitbod app using Sign-in with Apple ID.

If you in fact have two separate Fitbod accounts created, please reach out to our Support team and we can merge your accounts into a single one.  Please email support@fitbod.me and make sure to include the following information in your email:

    • Full Name
    • Fitbod accounts email addresses (please include all if possible)
    • Which account you'd like to use going forward

    4. Contact our Support Team

If the above troubleshooting steps did not appear to work, please email our Support Team at finance@fitbod.me. Make sure to include the following info:

    • Full Name
    • Fitbod account email
    • Copy/screenshot of your subscription confirmation/receipt

This is mostly due to logging into the accounts using different login methods. Please attempt to log in to the account that was used to purchase the subscription.

  • What is the difference between an Elite subscription purchased from within the app and the Fitbod website?

    2. Select your Apple ID: email (top of the screen)

  • Does Fitbod work for Family Sharing or Family Library?

Apple and Google support Family Sharing/Family Library for apps (free and paid-up-front apps) and has recently started support for sharing subscriptions. However, we do not support the sharing of subscriptions at this time.

We are working towards a plan to support this in the future but for now, if you and your family members would like to use Fitbod, please email us at support@fitbod.me "Family Sharing" in the subject line for special offers.
