How to use Fitbod on your WearOS device
Introduction
With the Fitbod WearOS app, you can do the following all on your Google watch:
- Start your Fitbod workout
- View your Fitbod workout - exercises, sets, reps, and weight
- Log and add sets
- Finish your Fitbod workout
After finishing a workout on your WearOS device, you must log the workout on your Android phone in order for your workout to be saved. Fitbod on WearOS does not operate over cellular data however, you can use our WearOS app without your phone nearby or in locked mode throughout your entire workout. If you need to add/delete exercises or alter your sets/reps/weight, you will need to perform this action on your phone. We are working on adding additional functionality to our WearOS app as we continue further development.

How to Start your Workout
After requirements 1-3 have been met under the WearOS Connection Requirements, you're ready to start using Fitbod on your WearOS device! To start your workout on your watch, simply open the Fitbod app on your watch and the screen should display the overview of your workout (image below) along with the Start Workout button. Tap on Start Workout to start your workout! YAY!
Important Note:
***If your watch does not display an overview of your workout upon opening the app, there might be a connection issue. Please refer back to WearOS Connection Requirements as #1-3 are required. If you are still experiencing issues with starting your workout on your watch, please email us at support@fitbod.me.
How to View your Workout
After starting your workout, you should see a scrollable list of exercises, each with viewable exercise details right from the watch face. Below, you'll find a scheme of each piece of detail along with a description to help you navigate through your workout.
ORANGE: Targeted Muscle Group image
GREEN: Exercise Name
YELLOW: Log Set button
BLUE: Number of Sets marker
PURPLE: Set Number with Reps and Weight
How to Log Sets
After completing your set, you're ready to log it! Tap on the Log Set button which will highlight a single marker for the Number of Sets (BLUE) which can be seen in the image below. After your last set for the exercise is logged, Fitbod's WearOS app will automatically scroll to your next exercise. More details of this can be found in the next section.
Two sets of Deadlift have been logged
Important Note:
***Logging a set on the watch will not trigger any rest-timer to initiate. At this time, you will need to log sets on the phone app in order to initiate any rest-timer. Logging a set on the watch will simply go to the next set/exercise as if rest-timers are turned OFF. This is an improvement we have on our roadmap as we continue to develop our WearOS app. If you have any questions, please email us at support@fitbod.me.
Automatic Scrolling
With our WearOS app, no need to scroll through your workout as you perform exercises! The app will automatically move your list of exercises in the proper order so your next exercise is always displayed on your watch face. This is especially helpful when moving through Circuits & Supersets which can be seen below. If you're interested in learning more about our Circuits & Supersets feature for Android, please check out our Circuits & Supersets Help Center article.

How to Add Sets
Once you have completed all sets for an exercise, you can add sets to that exercise if you'd like to do more (image below)! Please keep in mind that all sets need to be complete before you can add additional sets from the watch face. You can always add sets whenever you'd like from the phone app.
How to Finish your Workout
At the very bottom of your exercise list, you will see the Finish Workout button (image below) - tap on this once you've completed your workout.
After tapping on the Finish Workout button, the app will ask you to confirm to Log Workout or Resume the workout (image below) - tap on Log Workout to confirm.
After logging your workout, the app will provide you a brief summary of the workout you just performed (image below)! You'll be able to see the number of exercises you completed, as well as, the number of calories you burned and the total volume you lifted (NEAT!).
Selecting the Next Workout button (image above), will finalize the current workout and generate your next workout. The app will prompt you to open Fitbod on your phone to complete the sync (image below). Once Fitbod on your phone is open, your completed workout can be viewed with the Log tab and your next workout will be generated which will also sync to the watch.
