Introduction to Health Connect
Health Connect by Android is an app created by Google that provides you with a simple way to share data between your health, fitness, and wellbeing apps.
Use it to get a comprehensive view of your health, gauge your overall fitness, and understand which lifestyle choices impact both.
Syncing Health Connect and Fitbod will help Fitbod generate better workouts for you.
Workouts logged in other apps will...
- Affect Fitbod's workout recommendations
- Count toward your current Fitbod streak
Your Fitbod sessions will also help create a more comprehensive view of your health. So, you'll be able to recover smarter and make better, more sustainable gains. Think of Health Connect as the puzzle piece that brings everything together.
Sync with Health Connect for a full picture of your fitness. Use it with Fitbod and get the most out of yourself.
How to Install Health Connect
Health Connect is included with Android 14 as a part of the Android system. So, if you’re running on Android 14 or above, Health Connect is already on your device.
If your device runs on Android 13 or below, you can install the Health Connect app from the Google Play Store. Follow the links below for more information or to download Health Connect (Check Health Connect availability, Health Connect Beta.)
Fitbod Workouts to Health Connect
You need to have Health Connect on your device before you can sync it with Fitbod.
*** Important Notice: Health Connect is avaliable on Android 14 and above. If your device is not operating on Android 14, please refer to the section above titled "How to Install Health Connect."
When you have confirmed that Health Connect is on your device, grant Fitbod permission to send data to Health Connect.
Here’s how to check on or do that:
- Open Health Connect
- Go to Settings > Connected Apps > Health Connect
- Click on Health Connect and enable all permissions.
- “Height” and “Weight” are strongly recommended for calorie calculation but they are not required
- Enable “Save Fitbod workouts to Health Connect” Now, you're all set.
The next time you complete a Fitbod workout, a pop-up will display. It will give the option to sync your workout with Health Connect.
Make sure to toggle that in the “ON” position. Please see the reference image below: *** tentative image below
